PAWS - Pension Advocacy and Welfare Services

RSL WA provides pension, advocacy and welfare services to the aged community.

RSL Western Australia prides itself on the support it has provided to the veteran community over the years.

We offer Pensions, Advocacy & Welfare Services (PAWS) to all in the veteran community, regardless of whether they are members of the RSL or not, in keeping with our philosophy of  “looking after our mates”.

This service is provided by both volunteer and salaried Pensions Officers, Advocates and Welfare Officers throughout the State who have undergone formal training under the Training Information Programme (TIP) sponsored by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. These practitioners are required to undertake refresher training on a regular basis to ensure that the advice and assistance provided is both correct and appropriate.

Most Sub-Branches throughout Western Australia offer some or all of these services. Where they are not able to provide the required support directly, they will gladly put people in touch with the nearest practitioner who can.
